Pilates method, simply called Pilates, is a physical system exercises developed at the beginning of 20s by Joseph Pilates, German immigrant in USA. He wrotes 2 books for his method: "Return to life through contrology" and "your health : a corrective system of exercising that revolutionizes the entire field of physical education".
Joseph Pilates (82 opposite photo) called his method "Contrology", referring the way that this method helps from one’s mind control their whole body. This program is for reapropriation of self control tonifying muscles, re- equilibrant of the spinal column. This method cares about breathing and physical movement coordination giving more energy to weaked muscles while relaxing the tensed one. Fluidity, precision on movements, straighten spinal column are essential.
